Who we are
Did you know that each day, 1600 new businesses are started by women? Yes, women are leading the Entrepreneurial Revolution and would like our names to be synonymous with that revolution.
The Fearless Entrepreneur is a for-profit business membership organization founded in 2009. Our mission is to provide female entrepreneurs with the tools, resources and support they need to reach their full economic and personal potential. We engage women entrepreneurs in the Bay Area through monthly events and educational programs.
What we need
We are currently looking for interns with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, impeccable judgment, maturity and the ability to drive an initiative from inception to completion. Because interns will generally work remotely, all positions require a high degree of independence. Each intern will be expected to commit to a minimum of 10-15 hours per week for at least 3 months and will meet weekly with the Program Manager, the Director of Operations or the CEO to discuss progress.
Internships are unpaid but may result in an on-going paid, part-time position based on fit and our needs.
Media Specialist
The media specialist will assist TFE in garnering media attention through research, writing and making connections within the media and social media sphere. Projects include:
- Preparing press kit
- Developing and refining founders’ speaking bios
- Making recommendation on PR services
- Compiling stories, articles and blogs on various topics of interest in the entrepreneurial community for distribution within the network
- Writing and releasing 1-2 press releases per week
Requirements: Excellent and well-rounded writer capable of both marketing and business writing. Must be able to grasp our mission and to articulate it using a consistent writing style.
Multi-media Program Assistant
Video is the wave of the future; help Fearless ride it! Projects for this internship include:
- Video-taping all events
- Editing and creating short and engaging content for online delivery
- Creating YouTube channel
- Using social media to create conversation around video content
- Conducting and taping interviews
- Creating editorial calendar for videos
Requirements: Experience with video creation and editing; available to attend evening events, including March 15 and March 24.
Marketing and Development Assistant
Assist Program Manager in creation and execution of marketing plan, coordinating events and promoting membership. Duties include:
- Updating and improving website
- Implementing social media strategy to build strong online presence
- Creating marketing collateral for events, programs and membership
- Assisting with day-of-event management
Requirements: Great with basic computer and online programs; high attention to detail; and ability to follow-through on projects independently until completion.
Please note that this internship is paid.
Market Research Analyst
The mission of this intern will be to enter the mind of the female entrepreneur and help Fearless learn what is important to them through the creation and analysis of a large-scale survey culminating in a white paper. Specific project details include:
- Researching best practices in survey design, delivery and analysis
- Creating and broadly distributing survey
- Analyzing results and making recommendations
- Writing whitepaper
- Utilizing survey results to create marketing communication
Requirements: Excellent research, writing and analytical skills.
Financial Research Analyst
The mission of this intern will be to research how Fearless can affordably offer health insurance to its members. Project details include:
- Interviewing other membership organizations that provide member health insurance benefits
- Completing a feasibility study
- Making recommendations
